The Mamas and Papas Coxley
The Coxley the overall winner is loaded with features that adhere to an elegantly designed and handcrafted look. It comes with three adjustable cot base heights that can be converted into a toddler bed so it will last your child through their first four years. It also has two rails for teething that aid in soothing gums and stop them from chewing the sides of the cot.
The Coxley is available as a full nursery set, which includes the stylish cotbed, a multi-purpose dresser/changer and a double wardrobe. The dresser/change comes with an adjustable changing unit that can transform it into a handy baby changing station into an elegant dresser. It can be filled with your child’s favorite toys and keepsakes. The drawers are completely customizable and you can tailor it to your nursery style.
A cot of good quality is one that will last until your child is about four years old, but certain models offer the option of purchasing expansion packs that extend their use to five or even 10 years. They can be less expensive than purchasing a new mattress or cot.
When it comes to the top cot beds and cots, the Coxley is a great choice. It ticks all the right boxes – it’s sturdy, easy to put together and looks great in any nursery. It is, however, somewhat more expensive than the other options on our list and will require a standard mattress (which you’ll have to purchase separately). It’s definitely worth checking out, though, because we believe it’s worth the cost for a durable design that looks incredibly sturdy.
The Silver Cross Westport
The Silver Cross Westport is an elegant and sleek choice that will go well with any nursery. It features warm oak effect details soft curves, and a minimalist design. Baby and parents will enjoy it. This cot was rated the top by our testers for its design, its ease of assembly, and the Allen key that comes with. It also received praise for its sturdy construction and high-quality feel as it felt like an “real piece of investment” and also an elegant addition to any baby’s nursery.
It’s a little more expensive than the other cribs we examined however it’s an affordable alternative that’s worth the money for its quality and durability. The sleigh’s design is striking and will make any room where your baby’s the center of attention! The extras, like a handy drawer and teething rails, can also cut down on the cost of purchasing separate furniture pieces in case you’re on a tight budget. However, we would recommend buying an oval mattress than one of the standard sizes to avoid stretching the slats too much and cause discomfort for your baby. Our tester had no other problems with the cot and deemed it a great buy.
The La Redoute Willox
As the name suggests the cot bed is the epitome of luxurious. It’s constructed of solid plywood slats, birch and is designed to last. It has the French look and feel. It complies with French safety standards too which means you can be certain that your child is safe and sound. We love the off-white finish, but it’s also available in a stunning grey-green color.
Our testers found it easy to put together and believed it was the most elegant look cot we’ve seen in our round-up. It’s expensive, particularly because you need to purchase the mattress separately. If you’re on budget there are alternatives that are less expensive available.
The Great Little Trading Company Little Wren Cot Bed
If extra features are important to you, then this cot bed could be the perfect choice. It has an under-bed storage drawer and teething rails. You can also adjust the height of base to three different levels, so that your child doesn’t have to climb out when they get older.
The only downside to this cot is that it requires a mattress separately which could make the price go up more than other models we looked at. The beautiful design, ease of assembly, and ability to grow along with your child are all appealing and make this cot worth the cost. Our testers loved the cot and thought it would make a stunning addition to any nursery.
The John Lewis Elementary
The John Lewis elementary is a fantastic choice for parents who want an elegant frame that will last a long time. The only drawback is that you may be unable to find an ideal fit due to the fact that the cot is an oval shape, but there are many kinds of mattresses that can be suitable for it.
A lot of parents choose to use cot beds due to the fact that they are a great value and give your child a comfortable place to sleep. Our test participant said that the cot bed was simple to put together, especially since all pieces were clearly labeled and well-packed. It’s also smaller in size than the other cots we tried, so it makes the perfect choice for smaller rooms.
It’s not cheap, costing PS599 with the recommended mattress included however, it’s an investment piece that you could possibly utilize it for multiple children. It’s beautiful in natural wood, but it comes in three Scandi inspired finishes. It transforms into a toddler’s bed easily (leaving three sides open to ensure security) and into an upholstered daybed when your child is ready to go without bars.

The cot comes with handy extras such as a teddy-bear canopy teething rails, as well as the option to purchase the reflux wedge.
